Hi! I am a 12 year old girl. Scored 241+2. I want 2 try to get in Cedar or St Nicks.

Do not Know which to put as first choice. Any advice ?? Tks ๐Ÿ™‚
Both are good schools. For me, I will place 1. Cedar and 2. St Nick. The reason being I will do my JC in VJC.

But do consider their distance from your home. Importantly, you have to consider your last 4 choices carefully as cedar (-8 pts) and St Nick (-6) might seem a bit difficult to get in unless you have something to backup.

I see, which means that I can put in a schools that have COP more than 225 in the first two choices, then followed by a school of 225 COP in the 3rd choice, his chance will not be affected, right? His chance will still be exactly the same as if he had put the 225 school in the first choice?

        AM I right?

My daughter score 238 + 1 . Any chance of getting into Nan Hua (COP 243 last year) if I appeal for her?

Miss by 4 pts (2011 COP:243), do you have anything to back you up. e.g. performing arts or sports. You may want to go down to the school and talk to the P/VP abt your chances.

The 6 choices of the school will be as follow:
            1. Nan hua
            2. Bukit pangjang
            3. Commonwealth
            4. Swiss cottage
            5. Clementi town
            6. Crescent girl

            Advise pls

Maybe u might like to consider anglican high, tkgs and nan chiau or chung cheng high main as well?

Your chance of getting into Cedar & St Nick is low. Make sure your next few choices are within 235 to 240. Can consider Nan Chiau, Anglican, Anderson & Chung Cheng.

Cedar Girls give you a chance to mix with other races within the school but not St Nicks.

Advise pls[/quote]You are wasting your choice 6 and 2.

Base on last year COP, I would have my 6 choices:
                  1. Bukit panjang -6
                  2. Crescent girl -5
                  3. Nan hua (SAP) -4
                  4. Commonwealth +2
                  5. Fairfield +3
                  6. Swiss cottage +3

Unless you really wish to go NHHS, then you may remove no 1 and 2. and add another 2 choices.

My daughter had 255+2 for her Primary School Leaving Examination. We stay in the East.

                    These are my choices:
                    1. Temasek Junior College (COP - 255)
                    2. Dunman High Secondary School (SAP sch - COP - 256)
                    3.
                    4.
                    5.
                    6. Anglican High (o level)

                    I am considering these:
                    1. Methodist Girl's School IP
                    2. Singapore Chinese Girls School IP
                    3. CHIJ St Nicholas IP
                    4. Cedar Girls Secondary School IP
                    5. Cedar Girls Sec Sch (O'level)

Please help me choose. Reply me ASAP.

                    :thankyou:

I really envy those parents with problem that dont know which school to select when their child got 235, 249 and more etc. This is a problem I wish to have but mine is more headache, its like survival.

At 218, she cannot go to her brother school TKSS with COP of 233 - 256. That means this single father has to get used to 2 different school ystem.

I will still try TKSS as first choice hoping that all the smart children will fill up the top ones and leaving some slots for the 210+.

A gap of 20 aggregate, Am I crazy? My case is very similar to another parent Lim Siew Ha. My girl also from YZPS and we stayed in Sernagoon Central.

Any kind advise for a pathetic father here?

                      John

My ds scored 232. My 1st 4 choices as follows:

                        1. TKSS (COP: 233) - Nearer to home, so near yet so far.
                        Whatโ€™s the chances of appeal?
2/3/4 Random Dunman Sec (COP:229) / Temasek Sec (COP: 230) & Hai Sing Cat (COP:225).

Which sch should I place for 2nd, 3rd & 4th based on the school?

Iโ€™m looking at Pasir Ris Crest also. What about 6th choice?

I hope to hear more comments and recommendations on the above schools.
