then again, let's say a man who has lower pr sch age gal, would he bring her to men's toilet, or ask her to go to lady's toilet herself? vice versa for mummy with primary sch's boy. :?

It's not always the mum's choice to make. At a certain age boys would be aghast at using the ladies. My 6yo ds1 would rather use the gents than go into the ladies with me. Also, many ladies are uncomfortable with older boys (say, 10/11yo) in the restroom or changing room at pools.

Personally, I don't think it's appropriate for a little girl to use the gents at all. Which means it's very troublesome for dh to bring dd out...

Yup, I agreedwith clarabella. I used to bring my p1 son (K2 then) to ladies until I saw a sign at wild wild wet toilet that kids above 7 yo or such are not allow to enter. From then onward, I've been asking him to go wash room himself while I will wait for him outside the gents. That's the reason why I got so :x :x :x with this news... and now got so worry for my boy.

10,11 year old boys I can understand that they dun want to follow mum into toilet, too big, but below 7 year old?? I still feel they are too young lor.

sometime early last year, i was queuing up with my boy at a swimming pool female toilet to bathe him after his swimming lesson; the pool has such sign too (boys above 6yo not allowed in); a mum asked me how old is my boy; i replied 5yo; then on the spot, ds1 told me, 'but mummy, I am 6yo this year!'; then i said,'your birthday not here yet what'. :politebleah:
good excuse to get my husband to bathe my boy from then on.

I too take this as a sign from above why I do not have to bring ds1 to swimming class (bathing difficulties).

After the news about the pri school library incidents, I'm so wary of letting my kids go into public toilets by themselves - this mean DH has to bring them to loo! I think modern life has so many stresses already, and now we have to worry about these type of perverts. :!:

I was thinking of signing ds1 for Wushu at community centre...with the recent cases, have to be prepared to sit and wait for 2 hours while he trains in case he needs to go toilet :roll: ...

Took DD to her weekly swim class yesterday, and chatted with a fellow student's mother while waiting. Turned out this monster was her son's coach before hiring this current coach! :!:

She said his son was coached by this monster for 2 months before he \"disappeared\". Our guess is that's when he was arrested.

Really lucky he was being coached in a public pool. The incident must be a real trauma to the poor 6yo! :x :x

Anyway, a few years back, I read on the newspapers, the guy that molested me many years ago, had been arrested. Until i die, I will never forget those 3 guys. If i ever see them again, I will go up to them and shock them, at how much that \"little boy\" has grown....and i will crush them like an empty beer can.

Right to brand him a monster...now I'm glad I didn't engage a private coach. There was talk about grooming independence in kids...but with monsters like these prowling around....sorry to say, but I would rather resort to handicapped toilets than allow my son to go into public toilets all by himself.
