St James Church Kindergarten

Further to my earlier post - I’m looking at non-canvas shoes as I prefer shoes with more support for her growing feet. Thanks!

My boy will start next Monday at Harding PNPG session 2, anyone keen to swop? I would prefer session 1 instead.

I have 4 kids, eldest went to 3 ordinary pap kindies, 2nd went to sjck in k2, 3rd was in sjck all the way and now 4th there in preN.. My only regret is not sending my first 2 there since preN..
SJCK is not the nest academically, they don't wish to and i don't think the children need too.. But what i see from my children, is they always look forward to going school.. An incident this morning made me decided to post this..
My 4th came down with some runny nose and coughing since yesterday and we decided to put him at home for today.. He whined and was upset he couldn't go to school.. I think that speaks volume of the work the teachers and especially the principal and pastor have done for the kids..
During school orientation, I met parents who would send their kids all the way from bukit panjang to harding road.. Again, they did not go to SJCK because it is the best, nor does it prepares their kids most sufficiently for p1.. I would personally say, because of how it makes the kids love school, develop them into happy learners and most importantly to me, God loving children.. (My 3 year old would sing \"Jesus loves me\" everyday even though he never sang before he started preN 2 months ago)
So, if anybody wanna send their children to SJCK because they want them to be the best in their p1 class, then perhaps nanyang kindie would be better...
Hope that's helpful...

Hi glimmerhope
Harding Road.. Started there when Linden was under renovation.... Loves the place.. The children have so much room to explore, the teachers plant all sorts of stuff to educate the kids, and they get to do outdoors every week. My 3 yo favorite is water play every Wednesday... The teachers fill up a huge inflatable tub and the kids literally slide into the tub for some water play together... To me, this is something money cannot buy when you and the kid look back years later...
Sorry if I sound too sentimental...

The harding road campus is just fantastic. Great effort puts in by Pastor Richard and the teachers. My DS1 is already in P2 and he still misses the time when he was in the kindergarten. He had fun and happy moments and teachers are simply great. He did had a little struggle with his chinese when he initially started P1 but he managed to catch up. My DS2 is now in K2 and DS3 in nursery and I see that there are some improvements in encouraging more exposure and writing practice for chinese. I think its a good move. We never regret sending them to SJCK.glimmerhope:

Hi all,
Would like to check on sjck’s waitlist. I am on the waitlist (last count yesterday was 113) for pnpg 2013, would anyone know what the chances are like?
Look forward to experienced parents who have been through my path of being on such a long waitlist in sharing some info, updates to the chances.
Tks!
