After this horrific crash, it does remind me not to cross the road immediately when I see green man. Also, don't stand at junction or else drivers who make u-turn lose control of steering wheel....you know lah.

:hi5: Janet, I am like you too lei ! I even reminded my DD also not to stand too close to the kerb while waiting for the traffic light to turn green for crossing the road. If use zebra crossing, make sure the cars stop, then cross the road and it's a big NO NO to use handphone while waiting at the traffic junction. I teach her to be observant and stay alert of the surrounding. And i lead by example.

The cars near my place have been beating traffic lights frequently. Green man and cars still dash across!
I complained to MP & LTA. They installed extra traffic signals, step up on traffic police patrol.

not sure how to describe ... because everything happen so fast, my eyes also catch no ball. Initially, car was on the left lane. After red light, saw the car spin and then suddenly car ended up on the extreme right lane. wow! it all happen so fast, at the speed of lightning ! Scary! very dangerous! :shock: :yikes: :scared:

Seems like d driver braked too late n hard resulting in d skidding on impact.

it looks like a repeat of Ma Chi in Felali only this time the Lexus banged into the boot section of the taxi. any further up front would be hitting the pax inside, and the Lexus also spun after hitting the taxi


things to avoid :

1. don't sit in a Sonata & Comfort taxi
2. don't pass that junction, make a detour
3. don't be around there on a saturday morning

One significant difference bwt dis Lexus vs Felali cases -

In d Lexus' case, d car in d centre lane which started off first was not hit,
but rather d Comfort taxi which started seconds later in left most lane.
A few forummers here hv suggested after d Felali case to not be d first to push off or
to push off only after a time lag when traffic light turns green – all sensible advice.
But as dis Lexus' case shows, all d precautions u take will not help if there r such :siao: drivers on d road n u r suay dat day.
