      Joule:

cannot even determine if he was drinking
whether his is drinking is immaterial..

did you all watch the video posted?

it is quite obvious that the driver beat the red light (one wrong)

and some forumer calculated that he was speeding over the speed limit (two wrong)

And the taxi driver only move after the light turned green in his favor..

so, apparently, the Ferrari is liable.

Learn a lesson from that video.

I also know it is 2 wrong but in my mind I just want to ensure that all wrong is counted

Given that there are 6 accidents in the last 12 days in the same area??? Just wondering if the traffic light is placed in a "misleading" angle given the works? in that area?

I was quite affected the first time I watched the video. Shivered. What a close call for the other cars.

if he was drinking, his car insurance co won't pay. that's the key. in that case, victim has to go after the person/estate. If he wasn't drinking, they can sue the car insurance co for money - makes life easier.

                  So there IS a difference.

Cabby Cheng probably didn’t see it coming.
If u observed d video again, notice dat there was a pedestrian still crossing to d left while d green man has already turned red – dis wld suggest dat d pedestrian also didn’t see d felali coming while he was crossing which wld also suggest dat d felali was barreling down d road at high speed from quite a distance away.
No doubt felali driver was speeding.

Whether felali driver is DUI or not is very material,
esp in any subsequent insurance claims.

Even though his cremation seems a little hasty,
                        there is sufficient time to do an autopsy;
or if TP suspects DUI, at d very least they cld hv collected forensic samples
before releasing his body to his family.
