Welcome to PV
cmeilim:
We applied for PV eventually, since we live in 1-2km and just in case there are not enough places available after Phases 2A, B and C for <1km. Have been notified that we are successful. Also signed up for the open house where we will bring our boy to see the school. I was there at sengkang pri sch for the MOE roadshow earlier. I liked the science experiment booth a lot too. Didn't recognise Mr Low cos he was in a wig and lab coat, haha! Hope to know other parents here who are going to join the PV scheme this year and who are registering their kids next year for P1 in 2016. cheers!

using the pc/laptop to do the e-learning homework, is this a weekly thingy? wondering if i need to get a pc at home.
nahh.. so far it's during holiday or on days where there are no lessons (like during Parent-Teacher-Meeting). Don't worry.. it's not too heavy. Just to ensure continuity in curriculum while at the same time give the kids a chance to work on their PC/laptop skills. Those who do not have any PC or internet connection at home can use the school computers on designated days.cyranocrash:
What's e-learning?
It's basically assignments published on some portal and students will have to use a PC/laptop to login and do the assignments. It's quite fun.. and the element of using a PC get the kids all excited about homework for once.. HAHAHAHA -
Hi all,
Welcome back to School…hope all children have a wonderful holidays and all ready to go back school. -
Hi parent, I just received a letter from the school about the modular Chinese Language curriculum structure which means the kids will be allocated to different module based on their performance in Semester 1.
There are 3 groups, namely Enrichment, Core and Bridging. My gal is in the Core module. Any parent here knows what is the difference of these modules? I guess it should be based on the difficulty level of the subject.... :?
My gal is actually quite sad of changing her CL teacher, she likes her very much. Her name is Mdm Dong Bao Hong. I find that she is very motherly and patience.
Hope the new teacher will be the same as well. -

I am also thinking along the line...maybe those that are better will be taught a bit more advance compare to the others and the weaker ones does get more attention and helpHi parent, I just received a letter from the school about the modular Chinese Language curriculum structure which means the kids will be allocated to different module based on their performance in Semester 1.
