All About SAP Schools

For us, DH and I were from SAP schools so we hope DS could do HCL if he could cope.
No worries. Glad to share my experience.
Son is in a SAP school. The initial years were tough studying HCL, as such I decided not to register my younger one in same school..also because we had the luxury of having another option.
When the time comes and if I find DS could not handle HCL, I'll have to leave it then.

P1-3 was still ok. Come P4, can't wait to drop it at the end of the year...of course it would be great if can continue since it will give the child advantage. -
Noted and thanks for sharing.

I was from one of the SAP schools in the East, and I felt it really benefited me as I became very interested in the Chinese language and always got A1. However, now my Chinese is a little rusty alr. No problem reading and speaking but not writing.
Besides, I guess the syllabuses now are radically different. Do the students have to recite Tang Shi etc? -
Hi! I’m a newbie to this form. My girl just got a place for a SAP school in the East. It’s not that I want her to go for a SAP school specifically. It’s just because we live within 5min walk from it. Can I get some advice on what is a SAP school like? How is it different from normal schools? TIA!

SAP schools, whether Pri or Sec level, have only Chinese students. It can be a good or not so good thing. SAP schs also offer Higher Chinese as a compulsory subject. Hence, more emphasis on Chinese and Chinese culture.

Wrong.
There are other races, these students are a minority but they are taking HCL.
You would be surprise their proficiency level in the language is way ahead of many Chinese kids.... -

Eh... I have to dispute that cos my dd is from a SAP school and 2 of her classmates - one Korean and one Eurasian , both taking HCL with average score of 85% for P5 and recently Prelims.
