[Central] Primary Schools

In one of the year, South View Primary have too many PVās that it ended up a balloting situation in Phase 2B. Normally "responsible" school would limit their PV to maximum 30, this would be a win win situation where all PV would confirm a place unless there is a huge influx of grassroot leaders join in. The school also would assess this risk factor where even if grassroot leader join in, the PVās also have high chance remain 'untouchable"
If your child is entering P1 in 2013, I believe there is PV application open at GESPS, ZDPS where closing date would be 30 June 2011. -
Yes, that happened in Nanyang Primary in 2002 too. After that they were very careful not to repeat it.

Hopefully now all primary schools would limit the number of PV so as not to give PV a kind of "Mission Impossible" in their Phase 2B registration!
RVPS last time the PV form need to be self collected from the school admin. Maybe now the new Principal is more IT prone where list the information in the website. -
There was balloting at phase 2B at Nanyang Primary outside 2km last year too. I guess too much seats were taken up at phase 2A2.

I agree with you! Otherwise it wont be fair to the PVs! After volunteering for so many hours, their chance of hope of having their child getting into the school seems to be gone!

It will apply be it for PV or GRL. -
@titank & jtoh: thanks for the insights on the two schools. Indeed, as a PV, I will feel very disappointed and upset if the school takes in much more PV then it could offer in real places and give false hope plus wasting a precious chance
We were deliberating btwn RMPS and RVPS and were more impressed by RV. We ain't too keen in the rest of the schools like ZDPS etc n wld probably go to Cantonment Pri as the backup plan if all else fails since it is just opposite our place. So far, I've heard good testimonials abt Cantonment PS from existing parents, and thinking positively abt going to a nearby neighbourhood Sch will be time savings that cld be used for attending enrichment classes?
Meanwhile, I'll just do my best in fulfilling my PV duties @ RV and pray really hard that I've taken the right \"train\" since we only have time and logistics for one PV path \"ticket\" :xedfingers: -
All on the best on your registration princezjo!

Why don't go for 2 PV (RMPS & RVPS)? At least with 2 PV tickets the chance of winning is greater. :rahrah: . In fact last time I also wanted to do for ZDPS, the Principal said don't have to do, sure have chance to enter. In the end the result is totally 360 degree turn. :scared:
