I called rvps and was told that within 2km no balloting needed. That means I got a place in it. But I am in two minds as I am afraid that the stress level is high there. I am actually considering pulling out and try my luck on zhangde pri or cantonment pri. My impression is that these 2 schools not so stressful.

Any parents can shed some light on the stress level of rvps? I heard that rvps stream the kids every year base on their results, meaning they may not be in the same class with their friends. Is this true?

        2hotTOhandle:
I thought the sch will call up the >2km parents to tell them there is no chance? Maybe they could still try other schs. But if those parents are deciding betw acps and acs jr it makes no difference. no chance at all...

        jass:

Registration is closed. Final update for acs jr: 54 vacancies. Within 1km: 43, 1-2km: 11 outside 2km: 22 applicants

I chatted with the lady in charged of registration yesterday. asked if they will discourage those PRs who register. Apparently, the school will not. They do not want to influence others' decisions. They believe the parents should decide what they want to do after looking at the numbers.

what they wanna do with their golden ticket. (2b)

Congrats! :celebrate: We are in the same category! 🙂 do u know how many pax outside 2Km need to ballot? I forgot to ask as I was too excited to hear within 2km don't need to ballot during the call to RV :scratchhead:

I heard the same stuff that every kid will be stream yearly based on results too. Same case as for Radin Mas? I think it is especially for the top 3 classes? Something like u can be in the first class this year, but if your result falls, u will drop to the 2nd class or so the following yr? Something like that?

In a way, it may be good to be regroup to be with peers of th same standard and everybody can learn at the same pace?? Not sure how it will go too but I chose RV becoz I like the school environment and comparatively, i feel that their students are more well behaved.

Nonetheless, I have heard good reviews abt Cantonment Primary Sch from my DS's friends' parents, as the bulk of his schoolmates goes there.

There are still time to consider and think 🙂 all the best! ^_^

                Hi Princezjo

Congrats to you too. I am still considering my options as well. Have not firm up yet too. Few things I am considering actually:
                1) school workload
                2) single session vs afternoon class
                3) distance to school as will be school bus reliant

                So wil be thinking through…
