Ok I clocking some credits here.dd:
Ohhh... 1 seat for balloting? Do you have the breakdown? When I was there, the staff announced no balloting. Probably, there is a withdrawal?
not sure about that.. just called to ask about the P2B registration outcome and was told that balloting will be carried out for >2km..
anyway, MOE's website has published those schools that need to carry out balloting.. http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/balloting/
Called acs jr and confirmed.
remember my previous post on 20 jul afternoon.
initial update: 40 within 1km (38 SC 2 PR)
this number eventually increased to 43 within 1km and 11 1-2km. at end of registration.
Hence 43+11 = 54 seats. but! 1of the 43 is a PR. (42 SC 1 PR). Hence that seat has to be taken out for out of 2km to ballot.
Honestly that was the question some parents were asking previously, why are the 2 PR (initially, 1 must have withdrawn knowing his chances) get to keep their seats. and sch also announced no balloting required. I was puzzled but too relieved to think much then.
The staff has confirmed that the 1 PR place has to be given out for the lottery draw.
hope this helps to clear the confusion.
Info is accurate as dbl checked with sch.

Any idea if one stands a good chance to get in ACSJ in
P2C staying <2km? -

ACSJ <2km or SJIJ <1km?Any idea if one stands a good chance to get in ACSJ in
P2C staying <2km?
Which school is better?
Which option has a better chance?
Dilemma! Appreciate yr views and comments. -
My honest opinions. U can try Acsj only if u can manage to back out and swing to sjij before the application closes if most of the applicants <1km are above 50 nos. the remainder applicants will have to ballot. It is always safer to be within <1km for sc to apply under p2c
