      Very good, go for it.

I feel it's money well spent.
Both my DS1 and DD2 enjoyed themselves and they went for it for 3 consecutive years.
I feel that it gave them a good foundation in science.
How old were your kids when they first go to the camp?

The camp is from 9-5...not sure if that's too long for my 7yo DD?

My kids attended when they are P1 and P2. My P2 went twice.

It’s good value for $ and they enjoy the camp. However, due to timing clash, we are unable to do it again this year.

          DS1 n DD2 were in P3 n P1 respectively when they went for their 1st camp.
No, was not too long. They really enjoyed themselves, and i could work in peace knowing that they are not at home and bored.
Now their younger cousin has been attending the camp and enjoyed it too.
It is very convenient as transport is provided, at an additional cost.

I also remembered there was the zoo camp which my kids attended and really enjoyed it.

I feel that these types of camps somehow play and important role in the foundation of science.

Is this camp better or value-for-money for kids in upper primary??? Or applicable for all level?

DS2 is in student care and got their own holiday program... it seems like aweful waste of $$$ if I send him for this 5 day science camp, and still pay for student care in Dec leh...

My DS1 is at home and yes, got issue in keeping him occupy. :?

Lower n upper primary both have.
              The program is different.
You can also choose different types of theme.
They get to do experiments and go on excursions.
To stay in the student care or go for the discovery sci camp......
all depends on your child and you.

                Hi Carebear,

Thanks for your response and recommendation. I look through the dates from Nov 22 - Dec 17, and all are packed for my cases... either crash with our holiday plan or their enrichment class... Will enroll in next year programme for both of them.

                Cheers!

For the group discount, does it have to be all going to the same camp site? Meaning, can parents here combined to create a group, but some will be attending the central camp, some the east and some the west?

I contacted Discovery and was told that the 5 children do not need to be attending the same camp/session/location.

Has anyone registered a group name yet? Maybe Kiasuparents? πŸ˜‰

                      Sounds good !

Let me confirm with my girl to see if she will be interested in going & also logistics. If yes most probably will go for the Cath High campus.

                      Thanks πŸ™‚
