If I recall, one of the camp days would be a visit to somewhere. Other than that, it is more or less similar to a school or studentcare experience. Parents drop off their kids at the school (it was a RGPS last time) at 8am and pick them up at 5pm.Is this camp like school's excursion? Do the kids learn much or more for fun?
Is it helpful to their science?
How is it compare to other holiday camps?
My son enjoyed the camps he attended. -
ChiefKiasu,
can you elaborate more about the camp? what do they do and things like that?
my girl is afraid that she has to eat vegetables

do the kids do any hands on experiment, during the Science camp ?
if Yes, are the experiments done, relevant to our MOE Science (P3 to P6) syllabus, or not really that relevant useful, just the fun fun type for kids to play, play, have fun only ?
can recall what kind of experiments did they do ? -
I have created a new group, SCIKIDS. Parents who want to enjoy 10% discount can use this group.

My girl joined previously. I prefer Science Alive holiday camp as it is more focus on syllabus related experiments according to the themes they learn in school. Makes them understand higher order questions better. Is this camp like school's excursion? Do the kids learn much or more for fun?

my son attended science discovery camps since P1. He enjoyed his camps thoroughly and is disappointed that he will not be joining for this year as he is preparing rather intensively for his psle. There are 2 outings usually on tuesday and thursday. Foodwise is of course very to the kids’ liking. I remember there was quite a few times they had ice cream for dessert. I feel that the camps stimulated his interest in science early on so he had not much difficulty when he took science in P3.
Just to clarify that I am not in anyway affliated to them and this year i will be registering my daughter for the camp too. The camp is suitable for primary school kids only, i.e P1 to P6 in 2015. -

I tried asking my son who is now in Sec 4. The only thing he remembered was that they gave him a clipboard!
