Sent my 2 kids for asst.

My lil' girl tested on her dreaded number patterning. Numeracy is good except for that. She failed her paper! Haha! :nunchuk:
Older girl very careless lost few marks due to transferring n calculation. Will monitor her for Elite.
Now big problem is the timing. Sigh.... This is only the beginning....before new year starts piano teacher, home tutor want to switch timing.

Sakamoto :An innovative method for problem solving, it provides students with a simple yet systematic and structured technique to analyse questions in a logical way and solve the questions without any difficulty. They emphasis on problem solving.

Kumon:The Kumon Method is an individualised learning method. The starting point for each Kumon student is determined individually. Students start with the level where they can attain a perfect score by studying on their own.(self-learning method).

I hope this help you to understand better.

I send my DD to Sakamoto since Pr 1, now my DS is in the class too.

My dd attended both previously. Now she doesn’t have Maths tuition.

I feel that Kumon is more for preschoolers. She attended while in preschool, till level F for Maths. Withdrawn her in K2. Laid good foundation for lower primary.

Sakamoto she only attended for around 9 to 10 months. Her school teacher said GR method is not acceptable. So my dd only used GR method as a quick cross check for her answers.

                      ddtan:
Can anyone give comments on MPM Maths for K2 children ?

Thinking of enrolling my gal to MPM Maths at Buangkok - any comments generally if MPM Maths is good at teaching concepts ?
Can anyone tell me if CMA is applicable for P1 pupils?

My P1 son is still doing CMA. I wanted to pull him out as there are too much homework, 4 books plus a mental sum worksheet (70 sums). However, he enjoys the class so I let him continue and will monitor how it goes. It does help with mental calculation and in fact, his speed of counting a string of numbers is faster than me now. However, CMA alone is not sufficient to cope with P1 Math so he has separate enrichment lesson for that.
