i understand CCAs are not compulsory for Primary 3-6. If that's the case, is it still recommended to sign up for at least one CCAs? Because as it is, my kid already has enough of work from school and attending extra classes. Don't want to overload if CCA is not compulsory in TNS. Any comments? Thanks!

Understand the concern about school workload. For me, I consider CCA as lessons of the non-academic kind (physical, academic enrichment, sportsmanship and leadership etc). I've encouraged DD to pick one team sports and one maths enrichment. Would have liked DD to join Art or Science then too if it were possible as those were her interests. DD's in P6 now.

i don't think there is any streaming from P1 into P2. At least it did not happen to DS's year. Streaming only start when going into P3.

TNS does conduct remedial classes for those that need a little bit extra help or coaching. This help to prevent any student from falling behind from their peers.

whether your DS needs extra tuition or enrichment, it is really your call. there are students that did well without extra tuition or enrichment. But for the rest of us, a little help is necessary.
