What is this new "Karma" index and what is it used for?
-
I'm just like the rest of you... can only give up to 5 karmas a day... we don't want to inflate karma values now, do we...
hmm... good point... dun want to inflate the karma if not ppl with high \"karma\" will look down on ppl with low \"karma\"...
like how the children with better results mock at those with poorer results...
cannot cannot...
got tuition centre to help improve our karma? or enrichment centre ? or err... how about some karma guru who can improve our karma by a few folds?
anyway on a serious note, i think the \"like\" post is really such a wonderful idea, i can click the \"like\" for posts which i feel are informative, awesome, unselfish sharing and most of the time factual. -

Karma is not as simple a concept in Buddhism.
Yes. They are the same. If you like someone, that someone gets karma. That's how it works in real life too, I believeChiefKiasu:
Click \"LIKE\" is to give Karma? :scratchhead:
Or they are not the same function? :scratchhead:
This is a public forum. Although I'm not a staunch practising Buddhist. I'm still uncomfortable with the use of the word in this way. Ok. I've said my piece on this matter.
I agree.
Don't play play with religion... And it's terms.
Internet is serious business. -

Thanks to you.. We all cannot be Notti from now onwards.. :evil:oh so this is the karma thingy all about...
thks chief, was this karma added because of my suggestion and poll to implement \"like\" button??
We must post only nice things.. So that more people will \"Like\" our posts.. So that we can earn more Karma points.. So that we can be more popular..
However, good posts may not necessarily be popular posts.. On the contrary, good posts are always less popular, as they speak the truth, which may be hurtful to most ears (eyes)..
Hopefully, with the implementation of the new system, we will continue to share & post truthfully from our hearts (I know many will), instead of just posting what people 'Like' to hear (see).. -

First to reach nirvana? Oh man, some pang-tan peeps may not like to goFQW:
BTW... if you check out the Forum Index Page
http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/index.php
You will see the top members with the highest karma. I guess they will be the first to reach nirvana.
BTW, when giving karma, it would be nice to write a message explaining why you are doing it. The recipient will appreciate the gesture even more.
西天 so soon. Choi, choi, choi! Better go wash my mouth with Dettol.

then perhaps can just consider to term it " LIKES" instead of “KARMA” if religiously sensitive wor. -
SAHM_TAN:
We have no intention to slight any religion at all. The fact is, \"karma\" is the term used by the software creator and so if we are to change it, it will require rewriting a substantial part of the code which will make it difficult to maintain.Karma is not as simple a concept in Buddhism.

Too many Kiasu points is a bit like too many A’s at GCSEs in the UK. We need something akin to norm referencing. Sorry for being cheeky.
I see I am third in the Kiasu points ranking. Just how can I inveigle some more points, please. -

涅槃, nie-pan: a state where one attain the highest enlightenment, one could live without restriction/constrain of one's physical-self... one no longer needs a \"body\" to live; outlive the decay-able 臭皮囊.
