Anybody sent to the kids to Cma Toa Payoh branch before ? How was it ? Teachers good ?

        Or
Any Cma class near Toa Payoh , bishan , amk are good ??
        Pls advise ! Tks

I picked Bishan for its location although both Toa Payoh and Bishan are about equidistant from me. Not a fan of highways...

Quite happy with the Bishan one so far. My boy's teacher is very bright, kind and firm, very exceptional teacher. I would say the pace of CMA is lightning fast, lots of mental sum drills even for pre-K beginner classes. Classes are in English (I don't know if other branches have Chinese), but the instructional videos that you take home to watch with your kids are in Chinese with a Taiwanese accent. As I am quite handicapped in Mandarin, I have to watch the first couple of videos a few times each to comprehend :scared: but after that got used to the quick pace. My kid was initially lost for the first 2 lessons because joined late but soon catched on and now I find that his mind processes information (of any kind) a whole lot faster than before.

Wonder if someone can comment on cma vs crestar? My elder has been with cma for 2 yrs. So far we are happy with his progress. However my younger one has abacus conducted at her childcare by crestar. I m tempted to take it up due to convenience. Thanks

I am looking for good abacus centre that use English as a medium of instruction in Toa Payoh/Bishan area.

            Does anyone has any recommendation?
Hi Kiasu Newbie... I heard there is a new abacus class in Ang Mo Kio... I am thinking of sending my child there, as my friend has sent 1 of her kid and it has been working out fine. I think the name is IMA. They not only teaches Abacus and mental arithmetic they also have creative thinking and flash cards etc... ... and It has the ability to have a right brain development

My child is currently in Edufarm so called 3G Abacus, he’s been there for 6mths but they are still using abacus instead of the mental type calculations. The teacher said they will be using the abacus no mental calculations so i am thinking to switch him to CMA, anyone know abt CMA? I heard is tough and a lot of homeworks too.

My DS is in K2 and currently with MPM. Realized his addition n subtraction is still weak and no to mention whether counting with his fingers or mental. Will abacus help speed up the mental calculation skills before he is in p1 ? Intend to put him either with Edufarm or nickel apple?

From miraclemummy’s feedback, Edufarm seems to be out. Any comments on the centres? Or advise?
