All About Measuring Home-School Distance

Go to http://www.can.com.sg/
Under Mapfinder, go to Postal Code and enter your residential postal code
Click \"What's nearby\"
Choose \"Primary Schools\"
It will list down all the primary schools in order of proximity
All the primary schools within 2 km of my house had balloting this year, except for one which I am not very keen
My husband's alma mater is Ai Tong but it is 6km away.
In a dilemma, not sure what to do - to take a chance and go for ballot, or choose Ai Tong but then my kid got to travel far! -
If I were you, I will definitely choose Ai Tong. 6km is not that far away. If we drive at 60km/h, the time taken is only 10 minutes.
You can always check with the school bus first, what is the normal pick up time and estimated time the bus will bring the children back to your place.
Nowadays, the schools use mini buses, designated for different area. So the bus will fetch the children living in that area all the way there, before dropping the children off. So unlike previously where they use one big bus. Big bus only goes near the estate where the school is located.
This is especially true for the popular schools where children can come from all over the island. -

Umm... liz... something wrong with the math right? 60km/h => 1km per min so 6km => 6mins  -
