The Write Connection - Discussion
-
Hi Parents.
I contemplated enrolling my children in the creative writing classes for p2 and p4 bishan.
However when I enquired about the teachers, I found unsatisfactory answers about the experience of their teachers. Many seems to be relatively new graduates and I do not know how relevant their degrees are to the teaching of childten and managing them. They seem to struggle to explain how experienced their teachers are.
Any views on this? Any key teachers to recommend for Bishan or Bukit Timah branch? The fees seems to have gone up to abt 60 per lesson. Is tht a good investment from parents who have joined them before?
Pls pm me if its too sensitive to share on the thread. Thanks. -

미안해.... was away the last few days.
Our experience, I would say, is good. DC has been attending their writing class for almost a year. Writing has definitely improved over time, both parents and child can see it. Previously, had been below average for compo. DC likes his teachers and enjoys their lessons. The teachers (two so far, one last year and one this year) are friendly and positive. Both provide neatly typed-out comments for the writing work. They also give me their feedback and observations without me having to ask. Personally, I am happy with the centre.
As for the June holiday programme, DC loved it! -

Hi,
Anyone interested for signing up their kids for Bukit Timah TWC Primary 1 (2018) - Monday 3-5pm slot ? They need a minimum of 4 kids to start the class

Hi, I just enquired on TWC in Jurong East. Was shock the fees is so exp… appropriate $70 per lesson and we are also required to pay an admin charge every term. Is this the market rate for creative writing class? Anyone had expce with JE branch ? Can share yr expce ? I m looking at p2 write away program for next year. What is their selling point and is it worth the high fees? It like almost same as 1 to 1 tuition in terms of the fees charge. ?

Nowadays centres are charging from a range of $40s - $75. The highest I have seen so far is $90s.

Wow… thanks for sharing the mkt rates. Gosh $95 for group tuition? Wow…

like that may as well go pte 1 to 1 …
