lilipitz, Its more for the P3 student as they have to choose the CCA. But I think some P1 & 2 students actually have CCA also. Not sure if parents can go though. My son in P3 has already decided to take up Golf and Infocomm. so there is nothing I need do…

Hmm...for P1...CCA is not compulsory right? For me, i have no intention to sign her up for any CCA this year.....By the way,
I saw in the school newsletter that there's CCA Open House on 19 Jan, morning.
Anyone going down to look-see look-see? :peekaboo:
Wonder if parents can go. -
hi, taobaby and belinng
i am open to letting my boy join CCA cos i think it is a better use of time than him watching tv at home in the mornings. :slapshead: -
Hi taobaby & lilipitz,
Actually the school does not makes CCA compulsory even at upper level. But normally the school encourages the students to start their CCA in P3. Some will start at P2 when the teacher feels that they have potential, eg. Guitar & Guzheng as they teaches the students that during normal music lessons. If you want your kids to be in the Music class for IMASS program, then it will be an advantage to go for these as they will pass the test for during the selection. -

Actually while pv for canteen duty, I saw some children pulling their friends to the stall and telling them to buy for them. Got one boy was choosing his sandwich to eat, then another gal came along and asked him to pay for a snack that she wants. I asked her where’s her money, she said she spent it already. Tsk tsk tsk.
And, most of them can’t count. They have no idea how much to pay. Got one have $2 note and when told the food cost 80c, she said she doesn’t have 80c. So pls, go thru the coins and dollars with them. Next week won’t have pv there to help them anymore.
So for those whose kids are bringing money to sch, pls tell them what to do. There was a kid with $10 note!
It’s good if they wanna treat their friends but don’t be cai Tao. And also tell those with kids who are very jing Ming type not to take money from others. -

Hi, taobaby

My boy says his class teacher asked for \"the book that doctor gave me when I was a baby\".
Then I realise he meant the health booklet.
(this was mentioned in the newsletter to parents. Newsletter says to submit by 19 Jan, but his teacher asked him to bring it today.)
For his class, teacher has already collected the drawing block. So at least lighten the bag load. -
@lilipitz …haha yr son so cute. Ya i heard teacher in some classes already collected the drawing block from students…
How abt the report book? Teacher nv ask for it right? Aiyo my gal… -
Hi, taobaby
No lei, not for my boy’s class.
Anyway, what is ‘report book’? May be best that you check with the teacher bah, if not very sure.
I think my boy described the health booklet that way, probably cos this was how teacher explained to them. Cos we’ve never shown the booklet to him before, and he doesnt know what it is. We cold-store the book after his vaccinations/checks were done in his early years (until last year’s P1 regn)
