Not necessarily. This was what happened this year but may not be so next year. U will need to check where the top scores go.

        Hi

My boy will be in P3 next year and in a different class from P1&2. Any parents can share how the students are being slotted into different class? Thanks.

        Hi Bamwicca
normally they will re-shuffle the students after P2. PX.2 is always the class with students having the best results, then follow by X.3 & so on…

          This isn't true for this year's P3. This year, p3's best classes are 3.4, 3.5 and 3.6.

I have the privilege to have kids studying in P1, P3, P5 and P6 this year.

DD1 is in 6.2 and all the top 12 PSLE students were from her class. Was told the average PSLE T-score in 6.2 is 250 and more than 20 students get above 250 which is about 10% of the P6 students.

DS1 in 5.3 and came in within the top 3 in class. Just when we thought he had done well, we received the top 25% certificate but not the top 10% Edusave scholarship. That goes to show that if your DS/DD is not top class, there is a lot of catching up to reach top 10% in level.

DS2 in 3.5. In the past, 3.2 and 4.2 used to be IMASS IT class, but the IMASS programme had been shelved. I think 3.4 - 3.6 are the classes with better grades. IMO, at P3 and P4 the segregation is not that fine.

DS3 in 1.2, and at P1 I believe the class assignment is done randomly.

                😞

My husband and I, and numerous parents are so frustrated this morning!
We specially made a trip and drove to APS school to buy textbooks.
But when we reached the gate there was a tailback of ten cars.
None of us could drive in. The only explanation from the guard is that the lock to the gate is spoilt so we can't get in and a locksmith was called. It is already 11.20am and no sign of solution ! How is it possible that the gate is still locked if the bookshop is supposed to be open by 930 today?

It is most likely a case of inefficient admin / ops and no proper comms for duty staff to solve problems

This is so frustrating. And schoolbooks are not exactly light to carry out to the outside the gate alone!

And guess what. We enter and come face to face with a long queue at the bookshop. This is so inefficient.
                😞

Next time go during the nov period. I was there in nov and no queues at all. Going in was a breeze and parking is available. As for carrying heavy books, past experience has taught me to bring my shopping cart. I brought along my marketing cart and put them in it. Easy peasy.

So lesson is, don't go so last minute.

Oh yes. Definitely if we can help it. We usually do this early but didn't have the time. Next time will probably try online through Pacific or Popular.

Hi anyone applying for the PV programme at Anderson Primary this year. How do we know what tasks will be assigned to us?

From the past P1 registration history, it seems that PV is guaranteed a place at Anderson Pri. It is true? sorry I really cant figure out the P1 registration history results.
