I went to AiTong yesterday around 5.45pm. understand that the school will dismiss at 6.30pm, so the children will be out ard 6.45pm. Many parents drove there, a lot of cars and quite heavy traffic. It took me around 25mins - 30mins to drove home to Tampines.

Quite confused now. Shd I let my boy go to ATS or Poi Ching? Poi Ching dismissed is 6pm. Is distance a concern? I wonder how come so many parents fetching their kids to ATS from far. Is ATS that good? can some one advise me?

I would say what you see is a mix of students who do stay as far as Punggol and as near as Bishan. This happens to my DS classmates. At the end of the day, I suppose you will need to weigh the pros and cons in circumstances that directly affect you.

          Hi, KWDmum,

I was there too. We brought our boy to see ATS too.
I m staying in Tampines too, your neighbour. Perhaps we can meet up to chit chat, share view.
          How do you find ATS?
We are in the same boat. My girl is in PCS, currently in P5.

            Hi,

My elder son was from Qiaonan Primary School, presently sec2. Within 2km. Maybe, i will enrol my younger son to Qiaonan too. Not so stress, esp the Chinese. I dun want him to stress. PCS adopt the Chinese teaching methods from China. Heard a lot of parents are complaining.

Will talk to my husband again.

you will have to make a decision by today if you want to register yr son at PCS.

Btw, I am not under Alumni of ATS, what are the documents I need to produce when i register under Phase 2A2?

                Hi Parents,

I am new here. Am blessed to be given the choice of Pei Chun Public School and Ai Tong. Can anyone kindly share which would be your preference if you were in my shoes?
                Thanks ๐Ÿ˜„

I will chose Ai Tong and move near to the sch if possible.

                Hi,
Chose ATS if you live near the school.
                Best wishes.

My advice is to shift nearer to the school if you want to enrol your child there. :siam:

When my ds1 started P1 in Ai Tong 6 years ago, we were staying in Woodlands while waiting for our new house in Bishan to be ready. The poor boy took school bus and only reached home at 8pm for that period of 6 months. Bear in mind, the dismissal was 6.30pm during his time. He was so tired and worn off when he reached home. After his dinner and shower, it was bed time, no time for anything else. Couldn't bear to see him suffered, I got off work earlier to fetch him home for the rest of the 2 months before we shifted to the current home. Coincidently, the same scenario happened to his classmate who stayed in Tampines.

BUT no regrets Ai Tong is a good school..... :rahrah: :rahrah:
