Yes, seestar is right.
The cop depends on demand & supply; but according to Principal’s meetings with parents, he said a general guide is 250 for IP, 240 for O levels. -

Yes, the school has progressively raised the cop for affiliate. It used to be 220+; last year it was 230+. For non affiliate, it should be around 250 but of course depends on demand & supply; last year, it was 248 for non affiliate;

Due to a decrease in supply of places in O level track, the school can afford to raise the COP for affiliate. There is only 155 places for O level track this year & 175 places are reserved for IP track. -

Maybe they might still find 175 students above 250 scores that want to go to CHS sec this year since it's dragon year. But I wonder about other years.Careermum:

The schools vacancies used to be 400 each year for Sec 1. How come since they FIXED the Affiliated intake cut-off points to 230 in the last years, the intake shrink to 330??? Class sizes don't seem any smaller, leh! All 38-40 students in each class still. -
Hi everyone
My ds1 will be joining CHS next year.
Working out transport options now and will greatly appreciate your advice.
Will parents be allowed to drive into the school to drop off/pick up the boys?
If yes, which gate do we drive in? I notice there are two gates.
Much thanks in advance.

My DS2 will be joining CHS next year (2013) to continue his Pri 5 education:
1) Do we need to get all the materials stated as optional on the book list given?
2) What is the reporting hour of the school?
3) How are the class allocation done? i.e. fully at random or there are still top class or not so good classes?
4) Are all the classes given higher chinese? Is asking because due to a typo on his Pri 4 report book which can only be corrected when school starts next year, his current report book only reflect 4S and not 4S1H. -
