Any P5 parents here? Any streaming from P4 to P5? (ie are the P5 classes ranked in order of merit or just random allocation for this year)

Hi, sindy_tanho, I am at work now, so can't check my kids files, but if I remembered correctly, on the letter page of the school calendar, that was given to our sons early this month, it mentioned AMODE for term 1 and 3.


So no CA1 nowadays. It will be several series of small tests, almost every week from perhaps next week onwards. Sometimes even more than 1 subject in a week.

The tingxie & spelling in some weeks are counted. Then sometimes daily work also counted. Some project work eg science will be counted. Math will be mini tests, sometimes some counting games in the Math Lab. So all the small marks added together to form the CA1 marks. English will be show & tell, recital etc

My pri 4 DS is sick and will miss his 2nd MT spelling. How many % do the spellings weigh in the assessment? In DS’ previous school, it was 5%.

hi: in case anyone interested, i have one extra CHS white school uniform shirt to let go at $8. It is washed but not worn (as realized i’ve bought too many). It is size 9, bought it for my son in P1, but he’s still wearing this size in P2. i can pass it to you in school. pls message me if interested, thanks.

Only one top P5 class this year (5 Charity) and the rest of the classes are of of mixed abilities. Not sure of the rationale behind this change.

Understand that 4 Charity is also the only top P4 class this year.. As for P6, there is usually no change from their P5 classes last year..

Yes, the teachers will soon give a table that lists what is tested, which week it will be on, & how many % each component is.
