      Green-apple:
Heard there is a prize giving ceremony in the school calendar; may i know what is that?

It is an annual ceremony where the school presents awards/prizes to the boys who have performed well this year. Parents should have received the invitation by now, if your boy has to attend the ceremony on 13 Nov (next Wednesday), as 1st rehearsal is held this afternoon, after school..

          Hi,

Just found out that my boy will be going to P3 Kindness next year. Is it still true that 3 Kindness is one of the 2 top classes?

          Thank you.

Is there a best class for P3? We were told that boys are assigned randomly to different classes and not dependent on the marks they got from P2.

Few months ago my boy said Goodness is the best class but the story changed, now he said all the classes are the same. I saw a comment about this in a 2009 posting, wondering which is the fact.

Goodness & Kindness used to be the top 2 classes from P4 onwards. In fact, 4-Goodness used to have lessons (eg. HCL) with the 2 GEP classes, 4-Faithfulness & 4-Gentleness..

However, this year, there is only 1 top class each in P4 & P5, that is 4-Charity & 5-Charity. The rest of the classes (Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness) are mixed and have boys with different abilities..

But, somehow, it seems like those boys who are strong in Math/Science end up in the same class (maybe it is just a coincidence). Is your boy strong in Math or/& Science ?

PinkKimono- Yes. You are correct. Last time P3 Goodness and Kindness used to be the 1st and 2nd best class respectively, but since the start of 2013, there is no differentiation between best class anymore.

This year, 3 Goodness has produced the 1st and 3rd in level. A few of the boys were also top students from P2 and they grouped them all in 3 Goodness.

A large number of P3 boys qualified for Round 1 GEP so it would definitely take more than 1 good class to accommodate those who remained in mainstream.
