My son is in P1 this year n recently they had a stage performance where we parents r invited. My son n his classmates enjoyed the whole process tremendously n I m happy that the vp n teachers invited us to sit in for a session of teachings which benefited us the parents knowing how the school engaged the children.

Any comments or feedback on the new Guangyang Primary who going to take over from Susan soon? What is his background?

MOE Reports shows he is the VP of GYPS which I don't think so. See below link.

He was formerly VP of Jurong West Primary School. Under the direction of MOE, he was posted to GYPS as Vice Principal, prior to assuming the role of Principal of GYPS.

Thanks very much for both Tennansee and Sunshine. Just hope that he can do better than Susan

Why are there so few parents discussing about their kids’ studies & well-being in GYPS? Don’t think we should feel negatively towards the school as this would also be felt by our kids. It won’t help them in anyway nor improve the situation. If we’re ashamed that they are not in the elite school, well, they’re not to be blamed either. We should reflect on ourselves, shouldn’t we? Having said that, I must state for a fact that there are some very brilliant kids in GYPS! I guess as parents, we should also do our part to support our kids with the best that we can, no matter which school they are in. They are, after all, our own little kids, our precious gems…Be suportive Parents!

Hmmm, parents seemed so involved when the school has activities and such. Strangely, it’s so quiet here instead. Anyway, here’s wishing everyone in GYPS, including the parents, children, all staff & canteen operators a Happy & Prosperous New Year! 万事如意,学业进步,马到成功,步步高升!!!

My son is not Singaporean, not PR.
We live around Balestier Rd.
It’s little far from school.
Will this school arrange a school bus for him?
