I do not have a friend whom in Chij Kellocks so asking..
I do understand. I also did not know anyone in the school before my dd joined. That is why I joined this forum. 🙂

You said some friends of yours updated you that the school focussed on character development to the detriment of academics - atleast, that is what I understood from your brief posts - which is why I asked for more details. If someone makes a claim like that, they have to be prepared to back it up.

You can always come to this forum with your queries. I know all of us are anxious to choose the most ideal school for our little ones. We, personally, are satisfied with our dd's first year at CHIJ (Kellock).

No, she is in P2 and we have no experience with the BASC facility. But you can search within this thread; some mums have discussed BASC briefly.
Which CCA do u intend to let ur gal join next yr?
You know, I have not yet given it a thought! 😛 I must start researching the options now, though. My dd is not very physically strong; she may prefer speech & drama or some such CCA.

Pupils will go through a CCA trial during first two weeks of P3 to assess if they are suitable or has the potential for some of the niche CCAs. If they are chosen, they will be offered the CCA. Heard from my DD, she tried Tennis, Choir, Netball and I can’t remember what else. Oh… and this year, they introduced Swimming as CCA too!

Is there such a trial? Have not heard of or did my DD go thru any trial at all. She is in P3 this yr....when through the CCA online selection only, selected 6 option & she got her 1st Choice for Speech & Drama. She is also involves in Tap Dance since P1...so we thought we should let her continue....

That’s weird. My dd did. She even hurt her little finger while trying out for netball. She told me those who had potential would be given a letter.

I wanted her to try speech and drama too! But she prefer art club and got in. I guess cos ur dd already has a cca thus there’s no need to go for trials? Art club is my dd’s one and only cca.

Oh, she’s in P3cherry. How about ur gal?

My gal is in P3 Angsana, she loves Art too but after discussion with her, we decided to select S&D. P1&2 my DD was in Jacaranda, how about yr girl? Is she taking Higher Chinese? Mine is normal Chinese...
