Yes, Book Character Dress Up Pageant is on 25 Feb (Fri).
If selected, your child will have to go on to the stage.
Prizes will be given out to the best dressed.
Parents can go to school on Fri to help your child dress up.

Rehearsal on Mon Feb 21 (no costume).

I was just repeating the info from the letter to parents.
If i were in your shoes, i'd put my child in the school uniform, and bring the costume along to change into if necessary.

My girl is not selected.

Hi, my girl of 1C was selected for the Best Dressed Pageant and checking with her teacher, I was informed that my girl needs to come in her school uniform and get changed into her costume later in school. Based on this info it's unlikely that your child will need to bring any extra costume. Nevertheless it's good to double check with the form teacher just to be on the safe side.

Morinosuke, did your girl participate in the rehersal on Monday? DS is selected but could not go on Monday. Did they have to act out like the character or talk like the character?

That means they get to be in the costume for a specific time only? I thought they will be in it the whole day.
My understanding is any child who is interested an dress up as a book character. Those pre-selected by the teacher ( abt 3 per class) will go on the Costume parade and dpo their part on Stage. So should they not be in costume the whole day?
