      Mod's Note

hmmm .... I do not think this is the right place for this thread.

Is the issue more towards Chinese in general or more on how NYPS teaches chinese?

      ๐Ÿ™‚

Tankee, can this be parked under NYPS discussion?

by and large most parents have no issue with the syllabus - it is not so much the NYPS syllabus, it is approved by SEAB, used by ALL schools in Singapore

I believe NYPS follows the MOE standard for SAP schools. However, NYPS may value-add by introducing more Chinese content as part of their cultural immersion.

I've been thinking to put my ds under the learning bliss' care but after seeing his tiredness due to waking up early, I'm not sure if I should just let my maid to pick him up after school and have more rest time at home. Pls help! :?:

How old is your ds? It really depend on your situation... If your ds is quite disciplined, then I'll get maid to pick him up with instructions to self-study at home. If not, then I'll probably send him to learning bliss where the teachers can guide him in school work and get maid to pick him up earlier so he can rest at home....

Just my 2 cents worth... ๐Ÿ˜„

                    Thanks,MommyNG!

My ds is going P1 next yr. Iโ€™m not so worry abt his school work but more concern abt safety. My maid just indirectly caused DS to have a bad accident and really donโ€™t wish to have another one as walking bk home, it is not that safe though less than 1km. Else, my maid is rather good in terms of housework n character.

In that case, I suppose you may want to avoid having your maid to walk home with your ds during peak dismissal hours, as traffic can be quite bad (dangerous). I think either you can try learning bliss and get your maid to pick up your ds earlier, or you can ask your maid to cook, bring lunch to the canteen during dismissal time, wait for him to finish lunch, and then walk home \"leisurely\". Many students do that too! ๐Ÿ˜„
