NYPSkiasuparent:
Your question is probably a bit too general for anyone to offer any tips. Your child is P4 this year? Was she in NYPS from P1 to P3?Hi everyone
,
I am troubled that my girl cannot cope with the Nanyang Primary Chinese syllabus although she has tuition for every subject. She comes home tired and weary everyday and tells me how much she hates chinese. So can some kind soul please help me and give me some tips on how I can make her enjoy Chinese is a sense that she does not come to me to complain about it.
Thanks alot! :boogie:
You may want to go some of the threads under Languages to see what other parents do at home with their children. Quite a number of parents are buying interesting Chinese story books including cartoons for their children to read/watch. -
Got the uniforms, the name tags and the spi schoolbag! Almost ready for Pri one!!! Awaiting book list !! Anyone knows if it is better to get the text books in popular or better to do everything over the net with pacific books? I tried the web site for pacific but they have closed it till nov 1st!!

Mummies with older kids in NYPS, mine is in P3 this year. Is there banding this year ?
Would they remain in the same class and progress to P4 apart from those going for GEP ?
Will there be another class allocation for P5 & P6 ? -
I understand that there will be reallocation fm P3 to P4, ie kids will be allocated to diff classes into GEP/intermingling, HA and MA.

Yes, and the P mentioned about subject banding too for P3 going to P4, though not sure how this works.
There should be another round of reallocation from P4 to P5 (except the GEP/intermingling classes) for HA, MA/subject banding. But P5 to P6 is enbloc, so no more reallocation after P5. -
