My DS is starting P1 next year, could someone help advise if the \"Optional Booklist\" is necessary? :scratchhead:

      op·tion·al   [op-shuh-nl]
      adjective
      1. left to one's choice; not required or mandatory: Formal dress is optional.
      2. leaving something to choice.

      I know...I'm being a smart ass. 😉
      🦆 :siam:

Hi, my adv is to leave out the items in the optional booklist and buy it only when needed. Fm my past experience, the Dictionary, Assessment books, etc... listed as options are not used by the school and a waste of $$.

Agree, even a few of the compulsory items may not be used.

Same here. I've just made my purchase excluding all optional items. :imcool:

Not sure how reliable the delivery service is??? :scratchhead:

When will the children be told which P3 class they will be going to?

Last year, we were only informed a couple of weeks before school started (if i remember correctly). Teacher called up individually. 1st year they were trying out a new ‘format’ i think. Hopefully it’ll be more efficient & earlier this year.

                        Oh ok...thanks, mickeyhmh.

So DD will be kept in suspense whether she will be in the same class with her best friend. 😉
