MrBin:
The total number of 2011 Gep students are 566. The total number of GEP classes are 23, the capacity is 23X25 = 575. Now I knew, SHPS has 41 (-9) geppers (20,21), Rosyth has 73(-2) (25,24,24). How about the other schools. Last year TaoNan has less than 60 geppers even it has three classes. It means either many students give up GEP or NYPS got 100+++ geppers, who can provide the information of other schools
Any P4 Gep parents can provide the information? This is posted by Mr Bin in the 'All about Gep' thread. -

Hope she can recover soon! Thanks for sharing the nice pics lizhi. My DD unfortunately can only participate as an observer due to her arm injury. She came back requesting that I take her there to try those obstacles when she recovers.
Its been a fun first week and lesson proper should start this week. She's made a few new friends and is blending in quite comfortably so far
That is great she made some new friends! :boogie: -

Hi parents,
I am a little overwhelmed by the number of forms for enrichment classes conducted in school. May I know whether any parents had signed up for your kids before and could you share your experiences, please? TIA. -

the variety available is truly very overwhelming if this is the first time going through it, after a while you will ignore those not of interest to you / your child
I have sorted them according to submission dates, and will discuss with my dd these two days and then decide.
She is very interested in the Shanghai Immersion Programme. Have your kid gone for that before? -

for immersion program overseas, bear in mind when is it done because of the the season / weather in China
best time is summer / autumn season so that the kids will have less to adjust, on top of having to adjust to a new schooling environment
best year to go is Pri 5 (more independent compared to pri 4), no PSLE pressure yet, or go after PSLE, totally no worry on catching up with school work after return to SG
besides China, they also have immersion in Brunei
and new zealand and india too (if I remember correctly, these 2 were started just last year). I think, if same like last year, the teacher should be giving you a list of all the immersions for the year with their timings and you indicate the ones that you are interested in. -

Thanks for your info, vk2010 and Mvm. I will take note. So far, she's received the Shanghai one, to be conducted in March.verykiasu2010:
