my boy now (haven’t P1) already asking me if he can has a FB account
I told him he already has as my account is opened with his name and his pic on it,
& he told me "yah hor"
I think its more on peer pressure as he starts to see my account with his fren’s own FB acct

The orientation today is very boring. The slides from PSG onwards are too lengthy. The school should have gone through the slides. Even got spelling error… Instead of "Lend a hand" it became "Land a hand".


School should also have advised on where to park as we are not allowed to park in the school compound.

Thanks for replying about the use of fb, verykiasu. We’ve basically kept computers at bay for as much as we can so far.


Sorry to hear that the orientation today was boring, piranha. I hope to hear more updates or experiences about the P1 orientation as we can’t be there.

I’m wondering if any P1 parent do not mind sending to me a scanned copy of the booklist if that is not too inconvenient? We can get in touch on private emails. We are overseas and would get to do all of this when we visit Singapore next month. But it would be really nice to have a look at the list beforehand.

Thought it is well known that life in RVPS is very busy and stressful?

during orientation it doesn’t give me an impression they are very stressful

I hope they will balance both moral and academic
so far I asked a few kids at RVPS they feedback their homework load still manageable…
maybe parents w kids at higher pri can share…

Oh gosh, I definitely haven't heard of RVPS life being terribly stressful. How is it so? Too many tests, too much homework, fierce competition??? So how are your kids reacting to the stress then? And how are you parents coping?

I've hoped and will be advocating for a well rounded education at RVPS.
