Registration not very ideal for me... was thinking of putting my boy there. but we're more than 2km away. No chance. I called up the sch earlier and it's already over subscribed May have to ballot within 1km...

My DD is successfully enrolled for P1 next year. Anyone staying at telok blangah crescent? Just like to ask how is the school bus transportation to/from this area? Will she be going merry-go-round before reaching school/home?

yes maybe it will be messy when school jus start, the bus operators are trying the new routes for different areas...bt you may feedback to them if your kid is going merry go round...that's wht happened early this year but after 6months so far didnt' hear much complaints already, at first those at redhill or queenstown complain

Congrats to parents who have managed to get their kids in RVPS! I am sure you are looking forward to the start of the school term in 2014!

On a separate note, I wanted to find out from the parents in this forum more about the P3 curriculum in RVPS. Questions are…
1) How was the workload, syllabus compared to P2? i.e. Was there a huge jump in concepts, assessments, school work etc?
2) How did you help your kids transition from P2 to P3?
3) Do you send your kids to tuition?

In addition, i understand the kids are ‘streamed’ into different P3 classes based on their P2 results. i.e. Top 3 and mixed ability classes. How was your experience in this? Did the streaming affected your kids? Just some general questions hope there are parents here who can share more…

I have similar questions too but this time is with regards to P2 curriculum for my child next year to facilitate planning of the timing of enrichment classes as we transit from PM to AM session

In general,
- What time does P2s come back home?
- Are there any CCAs or extra classes?
- If yes (stay backs), how frequent? Usually on specific days?
- Do most parents pick up their children in the event of stay backs or take the later bus back?
- How much does Poh Lee charges for the child to take the later bus home?

Curriculum wise:
- Math: what is the \"monster\" topic in P2 that the students often struggle with?
- English: will there be composition? Which component of assessment takes up the biggest weightage in grading?
- Chinese: same question as English

Greetings to all parents in RVPS. I am an old girl from the school and is considering to enrol my son for 2015 intake. Saw from RVPS website that the school just clinched the Distinction award for 2013 from MOE. Happy for them!

By the way, just checking around - does your kids love or rather enjoy the school? Also in your opinion, how do you think is the standard of the schools as compared to others? I mean in terms of teaching methods/structure and etc…Many thanks!!!
