I attend the recent parenting talk in DLS. The staff told us, but she not sure when will it start. Also saw the model of new building, it is 7 storey.

It was mentioned in a recent Parent Notification. Something about the new 'old' school will be ready in Dec 2012 and orientation will be held there and that there will be after school student care programme.

I have a boy born in 2008 and considering which school for him.

Like to hear mummies and daddies' view on the following and any other feedback is much appreciated :please:

1. How does the school approach learning (eg. explorative, drills/worksheets, multi-approach etc)

2. How much emphasis on character and non academic?

3. What is the school culture and what do they really value?

would be good info for me too.
my son is going into DLS primary one next year.
Most of my friends children are already starting classes and orientation this month and next month, but DLS is only doing it on 27 Dec 2012. (There goes my last week usual holidays overseas. Not got to change my plans).
Does DLS has any unique culture we can be aware of?

nearest student care is in Yew Tee CC at level 4. From teck whye, quite a number of students take school bus and drop off in front of CC. care taker will come down to level 1 to pick up from road side to zebra crossing.


if next yr school move back to old location, care taker from center will walk over to school to bring students to cross the traffic light to center, formerly center charge me $20/mth.
