Does anyone know by when do we need to submit the Road Run 2010 card? :roll:Anna Ng:
if we are not the one who go around to ask donation, who else? my son not even know what is charity. And at the end i think the parent need to come out pocket money as i really hate to ask donation since young.
Same. I will ask hubby to donate instead. -

Hey, thanks to those who replied to my call for 1G parents. Btw, my son is in MT 1J ... so similarly, either post a reply or reply to me in private (*hee* sorry as you can tell from my profile I am a newbie to this - just realised can send private mail by clicking on the [pm] button).
Sorry this is coming a bit late, this is the reply of English Teacher for 1G :
The Project Work will be independent work by each individual pupil and spans over coming Mon, Tue and Wed. The pupils can however clarify with the teacher if they are unclear about the tasks. The teacher will also give some examples on how the task can be accomplished. This alternative assessment will be graded, but the marks will not be considered in their final year report book. Putting the children through this exercise hopefully help them to be be more prepared for the real one in 3rd/4th term.
You can give him more pictures, with family, with friends, so that he has more choices to pick from. It's important that he has his own glue, scissors and colour pencils.
As for the show and tell, I will be giving them some guiding questions so that they can prepare their script for presentation in class in front of their classmates in Week 9. Pls take a look at the guiding questions when he brings back on Monday and help him in memorising the lines.
Hi Notnamap,
My ds is not from yr child's class and hope u won't mind me asking.
Have u already received the list of guiding questions from the teacher?
Hi mvelle09,
Since yr dd & my ds is in the same class, has she rec'd the list of guiding
questions already?? -
btw, did any of you donated for the ‘ang pow’ for
needy students of DLS? -
yes, I received a sample of script (for show & tell) but not the guiding questions, but i believe is the same.
-
Hi baby2momma,
Yes, for English Show & Tell, have received 2 docs - 1 on guiding questions, the other is a sample (with blanks lines for your child to customise accordingly).
Also, in diary, there is a slip of paper stapled on that lists the schedule for show and tell, based on kids’ class register number.
Hope the above is helpful

anyone from 1E can comment?? i asked my ds
whether he had any list for show & tell and he
kept saying no..... so wonder if its really a no

Hi, I am a new mommy in this forum. My DD from St Elizabeth 1 reminded me yesterday that there will be a Maths Tropical Test 2 next monday on 1st mar. So all mommies do take note.
-
hi anniekiasung,
welcome onboard...
My DS and another mommy forummer, mvell09's DD also
in 1E.
I'v been into 1E twice and like the feel of their class.
They seem to hv a bond with their form teacher.
Anyway, tks for info on the Topical Test.
And for show & tell, do u hv the two papers which children
from other classes have? the guide paper & a sample of
show & tell? My DS is a playful character in class & I know
his concentration skills are very low....maybe teacher did
hand out those papers for show & tell & my kiddo is not
aware. -

Think somewhere next week should be fine to submit coz the run
is on 13/3.
I only got the card 3/4 full filled up..... -
Hi baby2momma,
Thanks and yes, I think you are right. The children should have a close bond with their form teacher. I have spoken to her a few times and I find her very kind and helpful. My DD told me she loves her very much and is very happy to be in her class.
And for the show & tell, I don't think I receive the two papers which other children from other class have. My DD will usually hand me whatever she receive after she comes home from school.
