Hi, my ds's school bus picks my ds at 7.00am & I guess it is pretty fair...Hi all,
My boys are currently taking bus 7 to school. The school hour starts at 7:45am but the bus come at 6:15am to pick them up. My boys have to wake up 5 plus to prepare. My P5 is still alright with it but for my P2, he is really feeling super tired and no mood to go to school every morning. Is the bus picking them up too early?
Anyone have the same problem?
Which bus is your boys taking? -
My boys are taking bus 7...
And I am staying near South View LRT station which is much nearer to the school.
I don't think the school will help us even if we raise it up to them.
My poor children...

Any one of you staying in Clementi and your kid is studying in this school? Am wondering if the wake up time is even earlier?

if i'm not wrong, there are like 7 buses catered for shuttling kids to & fro school & home; so i guess it really depends on how the bus operators decide on their routes & all.My boys are taking bus 7...

I can really understand parents who need to wake younger kids up early.... not easy..... even tho my ds has to only wake up at 6.15 to prepare, i'v already got a hard time pulling him out of his bed.... :?: -

No, the MT teacher didn't contact me and i also not bother to contact her. Immediately i enrol my son to Chinese Tuition at Xue Er You. I can save this tuition fee if the teacher is responsible enough. Anyway, heard that she is pregnant and what can we said?Anna Ng:
I went to PTM, guess wht? i not able to meet the MT teacher as she was absent and no reason being given. :x :x
Hi Anna,
So did the MT teacher contact you later to discuss your child's performance?
Hi Circle,
Hmmm....that is not good. Did you speak to the principal about this? I think this needs to be highlighted as remember there will be another PTM meeting before the June holidays.
Or let's give them a chance  if this happens again.....then complain...no more chances

I had experience from last year PTM. I am very busy last year and cant make it to school to meet the teacher and op for communicate thru email or by phone call. In the end, nobody call me and no email from them too.
Disappointed with a Chinese teacher in DLSS
2 days ago, a teacher confiscated my son's badminton racket and was told that she will keep it for one month. On the very day, I was doing parent volunteer in the school. Since I am in the school, I went to the general office to request to see this teacher. The clerks there was very helpful to help me locate this teacher. But very sadly is, even i was already in the school, she refused to see me. I waited nearly one hour in the general office for her to come out from the teacher's room. She still refused to return the racket to me no matter how i explained to her. She was very unfriendly and refused to compromise. In the end, she insisted that she want to return only on the next day in front of the whole class to teach them a lesson from this incident....
But was told by my son that she did not return to him in front of the whole class and didn't even use this to educate the class as what she said she will do.
I am very disappointed with her rude, arrogant and stubborn attitude towards parent. Maybe teachers are too proud to admit their mistake?
And does confiscating items for one whole month reasonable?

Did the teacher explain why she confiscated your son's badminton racquet?

She said it is her rules in class. I know it is my son's fault to distract the class with the racket. But my reason to see her is to let my son apologies to her and suggest her to give my son another punishment and return the racket as he needed the racket for his outside school training. No matter what i said she just don't want to compromise. And even pass remark like I am teaching her what to do just because i suggested her to give another kind of punishment to my son. I rather she can ask him to \"copy model composition in chinese\" which he hated it badly . And will definitely teach him a lesson. Anyway, she is just stubborn and refused to accept suggestion ...flyaway:

It is actually not that complicated if she is willing to be flexible.
And also her reason for unwilling to see me is because she said she is tired and I did not make an appointment to see her. If appointment is a must, why did the counter clerk did not reject me on the spot and nobody inform me about it. Instead, they are helping me to locate her...
And after all, my son is those quiet type and never give trouble in school before. Why cant she just give him a chance even he already knows his mistake and willing to change?

MT Teacher called me the next day & apologised for her absence 'cos she had fever and she was afraid she might pass the germs around if she turned up for the meeting. We had a good discussion over the phone.
I think she is a responsible teacher. -
My son was not doing well in his MT project work and in fact he failed. Few days before the PTM, the MT teacher called me and informed me that my son was failed because he keep talking in the class and did not finished the project work and the other boy also failed. I was busy when she called me and I just replied her that I will talk to my son regarding this. When I told my hubby about this, my hubby said then what the teacher doing in the class? Why canโt the teacher stop him for talking and seem like the teacher was not able to control the class.
When I checked my boy practice worksheet (the practice worksheet before the real project), there were lots of blank with no answer. I think the teacher should alert me in advanced the condition and at least I can guide my son what and how to do. I was so sad when I saw lots of red cross on my son worksheets. I really learn the lesson โcannot depend so much on the teacherโ. After knowing the teacher is pregnant, I straight away enroll my son to go for Chinese tuition.
Anyway, I have a very good experience with my son P1 MT teachers (Ms Chai and Ms Zhou) and my son likes them also.
