hallo,
iโm planning to send my boy to Nan Hua in 2012. i call the sch bus provider and they informed me no transport to yishun.
is it true? any parents staying in yishun with kids in Nan Hua? -
Hi,
I have heard of students staying in Woodland and the parents was not able to find any bus transport too. In the end, the parents started accompany the children via MRT and after half year, they were able to travel on their own. But these are P4 students who were transfered to GEP. Another option is to enquire about small private van drivers (not the official Nan Hua Bus Transport Company). I saw some of these vans in the school waiting for the students. You may want to drop by one of the afternoon and ask around. -
Hi Lunaee,
Well I think I am just very lucky. It happened that one parent who was doing something similar didnt managed to get her child in last year. (Remember there was balloting last year for Phase 2B) As such, there was a gap in this position, and I think I happen to fit in at the right time. So....alot depend on luck as well.
Similarly....I guess I would also have to depend on luck to see if my child can get in next year.
Haha....as good as buying 4D and pray that will strike

Hi Fluffy,
Thks so much for your reply. I guess i will have to make a trip down when it's closer to 2012. Otherwise, hopefully there's some members here who's able to share their solution, if any.
I thot Nan Hua is very popular, so transportation will be no prob. Sigh.
I know NanYang and ACS has transportation for Yishun. -
no doubt Nan Hua is a popular school but have you considered how much time your poor child would be spending each day travelling to and fro school? And what time your child would have to wake up every school day morning?

Hi Tankee,
Yap, this issue is constantly in my mind. Iโm keeping the option of shifting hse open. I guess i still got time to shift. Iโm from Nan Hua, hence very keen to send my boy there. -
Hi Rio,
Can share with us how you get into the PV? Like Luanee said, it is so difficult to be selected as PV in Nan Hua. A lot of parents actually very hush on how the selection process is being conducted. -

Yes, she takes HCL. No, HCL is excluded from overall percentage. Hence, it is still important to do well in CL. Unfortunately, my daughter seems to do better in HCL but difference is not wide. -
