Look under school website for CCAs,
for DSA, it depends on what school you are keen and and if they accept that paticular CCA. Your child would have to get grading for musical and win tournaments for sports.
Examples, Chinese Orchestra, Guzheng, badminton, table tennis
Do take note that once the child gains entry via DSA, he would have to continue in that field and would be expected to win for the school. Rather pressurizing

Are there p3 parents around? Do u all find that there is no-ending homework? On avg 3 pcs everyday, wkend is worst. By the time finish sch Hw, no time to play…n we hv no tuition classes…is this gonna be the way n worse all the way to p6? How do u all manage the time?

Yes, there is not much time left in the weekdays. It will be worse if your child is like mine, slow & a dreamer. By the time he finishes his work, it is dinner time already. It’s worst if your child is in the bicep class(p4 onwards) as they need to stay back once a week till 3.30pm. After adding in cca & supplementary, he will only be back by about 1pm + twice a week.

precisely. reach 2pm, lunch, bathe, start work, dinner, by the time we are back, revise sp, tingxie, test or whatever for the next day, sleep...everyday same routine. just wondering how do the rest manage the time? esp those with tuition...how to find time leh? supp class in school = more hw? :scared: -
So far I find the hw ok. Sometimes alot, sometimes nothing.
My kids stay back 4 days a week.
When I asked, some times they will say, finish in school already. -
I am disappointed with the school since DS entered P3 this year. Teachers have not been engaging. Seriously I am having doubts about the CL teacher as she has postponed tingxie time and again and just gives chinese compo without prior guidance. I am worried at this rate how can my child progress but hesitates from discussing with CL teacher as she’s the dragon lady type and I dont wish to cause strain to DS’ r/s with her.

The CCA & Supplementary classes are FOC, so I cut down my spending for her enrichment courses. -
He has not brought back any hw from suppl classes before. The suppl is just an additional lesson to catch up the revisions on eg. compo writing methods, practice on oral, etc.

I had the same problem as yours last year p3. I think we are at the teacher's mercy. -

if looking from this perspective, yes, cos no time for assessment books and tuition...
