Same here, my boy is in P1.
The meet session is on a weekday morning. Looks like I must take leave. 21 days of annual leave is NOT enough lol.

Me too. I'm thinking of applying for half day leave on that day. Do we need to bring our child along?

My son in P4 came back yesterday with a consent form to go Nanjing in Nov for some CL exchange programme. He is very eager to join but we parent abit of concern his capabilities of taking care of himself and many more. Is there someone whose children has attended the trip got something to share?

                      Hi,

My P6 girl did nanjing when she was P4. My P5 boy couldn't get in so he did Beijing when he was P4 last year.

Personally, I think it's good exposure for the kids to be away from home. How to live with their friends (they share room) and without their parents around. The teachers do a very good job updating on the website what they do on a daily basis and also post pics of the kids. I have a feeling they try to take everyone of them so that parents can see their kids.

Also if a child is sick during the trip, one of the teachers will stay behind to take care of the child. So parents need not worry.

I heard there are some kids especially for nanjing who missed home and were crying in the initial part. But most kids are fine. My boy missed us and shared that he cried (while going to sleep) on some nights. Personally, I think that is fine as it probably make the child appreciate their family more rather than take things for granted. If you are concerned if your child can take care of himself, maybe it's time to let go and expose him in a \"controlled\" environment.

                        MMM,

Thank you for sharing. We hope he will be chosen and like you said good exposure for them.

                        Regards :thankyou:
