      Hi Mummy 2G,

U are right, i paid the full amt. So we stayed quite near each another. Is your child going to student care after that or someone is at home. Getting up at 5 plus is really tiring..still got a younger sibling to bring to child care..think the drop of point would be in the school compound. Have to check it out with my neighbours..
      Hi Mummy2G and jen kuah,
drop-off point is the road alongside the school. U will see many cars there, for sure you cant miss it.
On rainny day, you can drive into school compound. It will be long Q to go in/out.
FYI, DS take 1 way school bus (after school to student care) and we paid 1 way at S$35 in year 2010. Bus operator had not collect payment from us form year 2011.

          Hi Sakura_2009 & Yerdua,

1 more Q. For P1, January mth is like "free n easy" trip. Some time were spend on making taking photo for student card, checkup etc etc.
How about P2? Does lessons kick-off almost immediately in 1st/2nd wk?
          Thks.

Hi Jen Kuah, my daughter goes to grandparents place after school. Will you be in school on the first day to just observe your DS?

Hi Jiyou, do parents park their car along side the road and walk their child in or only drop them off? If drop them off only esp for those in lower primary is it safe for them to walk into school on their own? i am visualizing there would be school buses going in and out? is it the same entrance for bus and children?

Usually there are no 'proper' lessons on the first day. The time-table will usually be given out and that's where the teachers will inform the kids what to bring for the next few days, especially the 'Activity Books' and coloured folders etc which are kept in the school cupboard. I usually just pack the main textbooks and a couple of exercise books for DS on his first day.

              Hope this helps.

If I remember correctly, yes, proper lessons commenced on the 2nd or 3rd day. They are no longer in P1 and I think the teachers would expect them to have got used to the school environment, curriculum etc.

                      Hi Mummy2G,
Main gate are for school buses and cars (parents cars on rainy day only) and there are 2 side gates. P1 student entry via Gate 3. Most parents walk their child to the gate.

                        Hi Mummy2G and Jen Kuah,

I actually took photos on the food menu by all the stalls in the canteen and type it out in excel. I play with DS before he start schooling. So DS learns to choose which stall, which food and count his change.
As i do not know how to attach this file here, u may want to give me yr email address and I will fwd this list to you.
