Did u purchased the chinese newsletter which are required from the school?We can either purchased the $13 sets or $17 sets.
Anyone knows wats the diff?

Hi There,

Yes, i purchased the chinese magazine for my DD1 in P2. I think the $13 set is only book but the $17 set includes book + link to interactive e-magazine also.

For my DD1 i purchased the $17 set (just $3 extra), plus my DD1 is bit lazy to read books..so thought that interactive e-magazine with animations or games would be interesting..

Mummies frm class 1B.Did u go mc online to do the assignment given?I tried but the activity is all in PDF format.Any idea how to go abt it?

Hi,
I did logged in to mc online and noticed that the assignments were all in pdf format too. But it was classfied under \"Offline Homework\". I did an activity sheet with my gal and submit with comments to the teacher. Am now waiting for the teacher to reply if there is a need to complete these offline homework.

I saw that lot of schools have started to use these books for assessment. Pls help to check with your DD/DS and confirm back.

Don’t you feel that our post is very slow with responses compared to other school parent networks…

Just hope and request that we all can help each other by sharing what we learn at school from our kids…

it would be good if you guys can post all your doubts and also any tips which will help our kids…

My DD1 is in P2 this year… lot of spelling…she is going to have chinese picture composition test next week… feeling clueless abt how to start with her…

anybody can recommend compo books which come with keywords for each compo…??

Feel more stress although they dun have exams this year. Do you agree? Cos in the end, there’s so many tests and spelling etc. Sigh

Completely agree…
I am a working mother and only have weekends to coach my kid…but now I have to teach her the spelling list and whatever will be tested in the coming week…

when to teach kids any new topics or cover the compo/oral/listening compo etc…

also when my DD got the list of test for each subject… there is this thing mentioned as mental sum 2/mental sum 3 etc…

no clue what this means…also the teacher does not bother to circulate her email id…just in case working mothers like me have doubts…

very scared for coming year as science will be introduced…
