Hi, I’m ‘new’ too… Silent reader most of the time. My 2010 boy will be due for 2016 registration. I’m so stressed each year looking at the stats. Currently staying in boon keng rd and my boy is in MFS mc nair childcare:)

How is the balloting today? Understand that it's only for citizen within 1km? How many were balloted out?

I am an ex-HW student, and planning to register my boy under P2A(2) next year. Called the school bus operator. As we are staying near Tanjong Pagar area, she said distance is too far, and does not want to pick up my boy. Advise me to register at some nearby schools instead.


Does any parents encounter this problem, and how is this logistics arrangement resloved?

My boy is 5 years old this year. He will be taking part in P1 registration next year for 2016 Pri 1 intake. I’ve applied to be hongwen PV for my boy. Just received letter from Hongwen that I’m rejected as PV with no reason given but to try under phase 2c next year. I’m lost as to what to do. Any advice? Should I appeal to Hongwen School?

Quite a huge number of parents attended; mostly from the PV group. Grandparents also came to give support. I believed it was a tense moment for everyone inside the room, especially with every ball ID being announced and broadcasted. It is, as if, attending the TOTOs or Big Sweep Live!

There were 9 disappointed parents leaving the room.
