Hi,
I believe F&G are the same tier, with C the next tier. This is based on how I understand the students are stratified from P2.3Boys:
Hi Yellowbelt,
I heard that P3 top classes are changed to 3 sections from coming year.Is this true? The sections are F,G & C.Any idea abt it?
Not entirely true. I know 3G has 1 of top3 students (cohort) and a 90+ student (cohort). I think 3C,F,G r random, not the same as previous 2 top classes. honestly I prefer the old system. I don't know the benefits of the new system. On top of this, they r not offered HCL in p3 nx yr. it's v weird. My child did hcl in p2 and enjoyed so I don't u/s y they don't offer hcl at p3. Then what is the school's plan (hcl) for this cohort going fwd (p4,5,6)?
From what I know of how students from my DS's P2 class, and also the prizewinners from P2 were distributed, 3F and 3G have an even distribution of the top students from the P2 cohort, and 3C appears to be the next tier down. For example, the top 7 students in DS's class were distributed between F and G, and the next 3 after that went to 3C.
Obviously, I have no inside track on how the school officially stratifies, and I am only drawing my conclusions from what I observe and historical precedence. -
Does anyone know what time the school bus picks up kids in the bukit batok area?

Are you referring to P3F in 2011 or 2012? My child is in P3F in 2011.

We are referring to 2012 P3F,G,C. The school intro new way of putting children in different classes.
For your child P3F 2011. If i am not wrong its still P3F and G being the better classes? I know this yr P5F and G was random too, 1-80 (+/-) randomly mixed. Before that (2010), I think its 1-40 and 41-80 (+/-). -
Hi, as I mentioned earlier, I'm very new to FMPS...hope to get some info frm you... I was wondering if the kids going to 3C,F and G are those who would have mostly scored 3 band 1s in the p2 exam... There will be some with maybe one Band 2 right?

hi all,
i would like to ask, for those who are enrolled to FFMP by church affiliations, how does that go about?
does it mean that u are a member of a methodist church in singapore? How do they define being a "member"? must the parent be "actively" involved in the church?
how about being a christian in another church? because afterall, methodist are generally christians? -
staritzz:
You must be a member of the Methodist Church in Singapore. Different methodist churches have different requirements of being a member, you have to enquire the church office if you are a confirmed member. If not, you are subjected to the requirements of the church before you can be a member. You need to get a letter issued from the methodist church in order to register for Phase 2b.hi all,
