Though Pri 1 registration is due next year for my child, I’ve been polishing my child’s Chinese. In case my K1 child is so lucky to get balloted in next year, I won’t be worried that my child can’t cope with Higher Chinese in Pri 1. Attending enrichment classes and spending time to revise and to teach other stuff is as crucial as exposing the child to exploring snails, flying kites or building sandcastle. It is better to over-prepare than to under-prepare a child for Pri 1. Early years 0 to 6 are the best years for a child to learn( From research). Don’t miss the boat. I feel that all parents should play an active role in their children’s education. Parents have the greatest influence on their children’s learning attitude.

Just an update Endeavour going to have a newly appointed lady principal on 15 Dec 2012, Mdm Ong Kwee Lan from MOE Special Education Unit. Mr Chia is going to Henry Park Primary as principal. Let hope the new principal will bring Endeavour further.
-
Will miss Mr Chia. He is a very good principal, very caring to the children, always walking around the school, talking to the kids. On the day of announcing, a little girl went looking for him and hug him and kept sobbing. That is what he means to the kids.
-
Yes my boy also like Mr ChIa a lot. A humble principal that can connect to pupils and parents very well. Henry Park Primary is very lucky to have him as principal.
-
I have heard from my daughter too and she actually cried for the whole afternoon, asking me why must he leave the school and not somebody else. I just hope the new principal will bring the school to further heights.
