Hi there. It’s me again. After 1 year of doing my research in sembawang schools, I realized that Sembawang has a few interesting programmes for lower primary. I followed my neighbor last year and like I said my first impression was good. She told me her son has gone for 2 learning journeys already and they have very few tests. Teachers there also are a caring lot. I went for their big concert. Wow! What a show!! I saw their Art exhibition too. I canot belief they were done by 7-8 yr olds.Any tips about teachers there? He he !! being a bit kiasu here. Favorite teachers to recommend and to look out for? My girl is quite reserve. P1 registration starting soon. All comments from mommies will be helpful. Please!!

                Hi all,

My son is in P1 now. He is able to make more new friends as he is required to attend his 2nd language lesson with another class. He likes his chinese teacher as he will receive small rewards when he scored well for the tests. He enjoyed his journey trips too. He didn’t complain about the canteen food so far (spent all his pocket money on food). He is required to record his daily homework in his handbook and parents are required to sign on it. You may leave a note for the form teacher if in doubts.

                  Hi

Would like to find out more about Sembawang Primary School. Any parents care to share more about the school? Seems like their website is not very up to date and interesting. Wondering if I should put my kids in this school in the near future. Anyone know what to expect when they shift back to old premise after construction is complete?

Hi There, Once the new premise is up, the sch might go to single session in 2014.

Hi, time flies, my girl in P3 this year. I just got a form to consent her for remedial. She says the whole class gets it. While I like my girl to attend, she is quite reluctant. I am wondering if it will be necessary to ‘force’ her to. She has Chinese tuition privately and English and Maths are in borderline band 1. I do not see it as overconfidence but more that she is very laidback. She is still coping with switching to morning session, I think she is tired ANC the prospect of staying back for another 2 hours freaked her out. What are your thoughts on this?
