EL Spelling is once a week, 10 words. From Term 2, besides 10 words, comes with 1 dictation sentence. CL Spelling is about once 2 or 3 weeks. So not that bad. -

My boy in P1 this yr. It depends on the teachers. Some classes I heard has no or little homework. If the teacher is diligent in getting them to finish the work in class, then less homework. My boy's class is one of the worst one as the EL teacher absent frequently, so more homework when she tries to play catchup on syllabus.ectanz:

For my child last year, it was very manageable. In fact, he seldom have any homework. According to him, he finished most of his work in class. But for his classmates who couldn't finish in class, they will have to take the work home to complete. -

Am I right to say tat? If this is the case, then it is not so good to the student as they need to absorb so much things in such a short period.sc88:

There relief teacher sometimes may just ask them to do their own things, so not necessary covering the work of the absent teacher. So the students will be loaded with homework once the teacher is back....sigh.
