Regarding the School’s dental clinic, I am not too sure how it works? A couple of months ago (can’t remember the exact date) they hv conducted the first check-up on my girl’s teeth. They concluded cavities in her 4 teeth and required filling in her next round check-up. Till now, they havent "summon" her for further treatment. Please advise whether my girl needs to go down and make appointment with the clinic or eventually they will ask for her.

Hi,
Can any mummies tell me if they received correction work for english Compostion book for 1B? My DS so tired of finishing as it contained lot of chapters to do. Why can't the form teacher gave such corrections early as and when the compostion is completed
any comments/feedbacks on this !! -

At the start of the year, I took my child to see the school dental clinic as he complained of a toothache. I did not make any appointment and just walked in. After a check up, the dental staff said there was a tooth cavity and that my child needed a root canal procedure which could not be done on the spot as there were already 2 students waiting to see her. The staff cleaned the cavity and told me that she would \"summon\" my child again. However, the pain did not subside the next few days and I was so worried that I immediately took my child to see a private dentist who said that the decay was very serious and needed an immediate root canal treatment. True enough, when the tooth was extracted, I could see that half of it was decayed. The dentist discovered 2 more serious cavities and I decided to let my child have the treatment at the private dental clinic as I did not want to wait. Since you mentioned that your gal has 4 cavities for a few months, it is best that you book an appointment with the school clinic to get them filled before the condition worsens. It may not be a good idea to wait to be \"summoned\" as the school dental staff has to see so many students and thus you most likely won't know when it will be your child's turn. Otherwise, you may want to see a private dentist like me. No doubt, I had to spend a bomb on the treatments but I am glad that my child's problems are fixed ASAP. Just my humble opinion ~ It's your call. -

How to make appointment with the school clinic? Is it juz walk-in and make the appointment with them? My girl told me that the school clinic has been closed for few days. Previously, we hv brought her to consult private dental when she was in preschool. Maybe u r right that we shouldnt wait till the cavities become worsen and require more intensive treatment that might cause a bigger \"bomb\". Thks for yr advice.ectanz:

Not familiar with p1 but my child just got her report book and I want to find out what percentage is considered okay or normal? Must it be between 90% to 95%
? I wish to find out so that I can work on her improvement during school holidays -
Perhaps u can email her teachers? I know that the teachers are still going to school in the 1st week of holiday.

Depending on the base, perhaps a 5-10% increment will b a realistic target?

Although my girl’s 2nd term was not as gd as her 1st term but I’m still glad for her achievement even though the total percentage is slightly below 90%. I didn’t prepare her for 2nd term mastery n performance tests. However, I told my girl that we shall work hard together in her next term - mastery n performance tests.
Recently they hv a written compo - my pet for weekend homework. My girl insisted that she wanted to do it by herself. She was very delighted that she scored almost full mark for this time round. My girl told me that her FT who is also her Eng Teacher asked the whole class to raise their hand if the compo writting was done in the help of their parents. For those who was done with the help of their parents was given an average mark - slightly above 5. For the show n tell in the 3rd term, may i ask will the teacher be giving the average score for those who is done by the parents in the term of the script n material? If yes, then it might be quite difficult for a lower Pri to do it by themselves. -
Guess u would hv to clarify w the tr bcos different trs will hv different expectations. Usually I only helped ds to prepare photo printouts n minor editing of his own script for english. However, his chinese show n tell would come w a note to parents to help in getting the script done w the help of some guiding qns.

SA1 Maths paper is easier than CA1. CA1 Maths paper had one very challenging question. My boy got 87 for CA1 & 97 for SA1. His best friend, who is attending remedial class for Maths got C for CA1 & A for SA1.Hi p6 parents,
Anyone of your kids found the math paper tough? My girl cried and said she found it tough but her friends said it was easy. I am now away for business but worried when she called me to tell me this. I feel a bit helpless overseas now..anyone can help me with this? Like how the std of the paper was?
