i had the impression the selected pupils have to go through another round of selection by the prefectorial board....maybe i was wrong
is that so?? my son this yr p4 and was selected by the form teacher in term 3 to be junior/asst prefect..now all of them had to return the prefect badge/tie...wondering if next yr he will automatically selected to be prefect or as what u mention got to go thr round of selection by the prefectorial bd. :? -
i guess they should automatically continue as prefect next year. i have heard that sometimes they do remove a child from a prefect position anytime if he/she not behaving/performing duty well. your child must be outstanding as the ‘selection’ is usually only done in p2 and thereafter they just move on with the same group of kids.

yes, my messenger [i.e. my son :)] cfmd that his teacher removed his classmate's prefect badge in p3 for unacceptable behaviour after several warnings. -
How do u feel abt the report books ?
It does not tell the position of the child , both in class and in level.
Do u think that is a good idea ?
I was hoping that at least there is a graph showing the distrubution of the students’ results , so that at least we can tell where does our chold stands.
Any comments fr the rest ? Other than the top 3, do u know how to rate yr child ? -
Hi all ! My dd will be joining Rosyth Primary 4 next year. Can someone advise me how many sets of pinafore, PE attire I should buy ? Erm, can the pinafore be 'recycled' and worn for more than a day ?
Many thanks  -

Hi. My dd's current school's report book also does not show the position of the students, be it class or standard. But we are given a summary of the highest and lowest marks of each subject (class and standard). For individual positions, we only know if they are prize winners (top 5% of standard). How do u feel abt the report books ?

Hi,
My youngest son is 3 1/2 year old. I wish to participate in the Parent Volunteer Programme organize by Rosyth Primary School next year but get to know that it does not guarantee a place in the school even if I may have completed the Parent Volunteer Programme.
I would be grateful if someone could give me some advise on Parent Volunteer Programme organize by Rosyth Primary School. -
Hi I am new here in Kiasu Parents - just want to inquire .my daughter is in k2 nw (this jan 2010) and I want her to be rosyth for P1 (2010) do you know if I will still have a chance for her? Whats the best thing to do? How much do you think is the bus fare from woodlands to rosyth? Or if not any good school in woodlands. Please help…

Hi,
If you are staying in woodland, the school of your choice is way out.
You might consider to read the forum under primary school ->registration where it has various post on the comments by parents.
From now till July, you can still do the reseach before deciding the school of your choice. -
Hi
imho, it’s better to choose a school nearer to your house.
dd is now at Rosyth P4. To travel from Woodlands to Serangoon North, we have to leave home quite early (due to traffic congestion). dd has to wake up much much earlier than if she had stayed on in her previous school in woodlands (p1-p3), which was just a 5 mins drive away.
