Rostrum:
I personally find that Rosyth school is a very gd school. Never force students to go for enrichment classes and no long hours for students. My girl already in P6, still comes back at 1.30pm everyday, except for CCA days.Hi Hi,
I am considering my boy for Rosyth next year for P1.
Anyone has any idea whether the school is stressful? Will they keep pushing you to go for enrichment classes or worse, ask you to withdraw from the school if they can't perform academically?
I am actually considering Rosyth, Hougang Pri or Zhong Hua Pri.
I am not very well off, so I am worried, my boy will feel inferior in the school.
Your boy will be just fine in Rosyth school, they are many children having financial aid , no issues at al. The school values are to Care and Share. Cheers! :rahrah: -

>> Some kids are happy being shy and alone. They like to observe. It is fine. I say that because my daughter is like that. If he is not sad, then dont worry about him making friends. Friendships will happen at some pointHi,
My child is in P1 Rosyth this year. Any advice on how to cope during recess? So far he has not made any friends as he is rather introverted. Therefore, he is by himself during recess. All advice welcome.

Looking forward to network with other parents. -
Dear All,
I'm keen to become a grassroots volunteer in the hope of getting priority (Phase 2B) for my child in the Rosyth Primary 1 registration.
With the new grassroots volunteers rules, phase 2b is only restricted to the constituency where they live (NRIC address) and not the constituency they served.
If I stay in Serangoon Ave (near Serangoon MRT), am I still eligible? Or does anyone know how do I check? -
You can use Onemap school query, to confirm the distance from your house address to Rosyth primary school.
Under Phase 2C -
balloting for SC occur, less than 1 km from Rosyth.

The quick way to check would be to remember which GRC did you vote for (Marine Parade GRC). As for Rosyth, it's in AMK GRC.
You can always contact PA to confirm. -
Thanks Floppy.
If you are right, I won’t be eligible unless I stay in AMK GRC area. Right?
On a separate note, I google Rosyth address to be under Aljunied Hougang Town council. it’s not managed by AMK town council. Correct? -
Hey Floppy,
You are right. it’s AMK GRC. Thanks. -
Any parents with p1 and p2 kids? What is the average percentage for your child? Need to ascertain whether my child is faring badly or average.

Is your child currently studying inside Rosyth primary school ?Any parents with p1 and p2 kids?

If Yes, you can check the Report card for P1/P2 students : check whether school disclose the class mean, level cohort mean per subject, etc, inside their Report card.
If No, perhaps wait until your child get admitted into Rosyth primary school first.
