Any mother whose child in P5?

Hi, can anybody advise how it's like for primary one orientation? Will there be at tests given to the kids to see their abilities before they allocate their classes? How do they put the going to be primary one in their classes? When will we be able to buy the uniforms and books? How's the school life in chongzheng? Any parents can advise? Thank you! :thankyou:

No there isn’t any test . They will inform you which class you will be in before school reopen they will mailed the temporary name tag and class. During orientation , is according to grouping . This is according to this year P1. Yes you can buy the books on that day and uniform too. Not sure how is the school now but this school is my pri school 20 yrs ago and currently my son is in this sch p1 this year

Hi all, new to this forum as my ds will going to P1 next year.

Heard from my colleagues that they have received letters from their schools to buy uniform and books.

Anyone received any letters yet or we are supposed to do all that on 09Nov ?

My dd joined CZ in 2009. During then, they were streamed accordingly to their result of an eng & maths tests taken in the 2nd week of Jan.

This yr, my ds joined CZ. I believe an entry test was given during the orientation and the sch streamed the students accordingly as usual. I asked one of the teachers but she insisted that no streaming was taken placed for P1 & 2 in 2003 onwards. So now, I don't know what to believe.

Through my experience w CZ, there are good teachers and a few \"not good\" teachers. You can know who are the good and not-so-good ones by looking at the result of the whole class in CAs and SAs. It truly made a huge diff.

Like we can also know what kind of parents they have by looking at the kids? We give teachers what we have made for 6 six years and expect them to do magic. Some parents failed miserably with only 1 child but they expect the teachers to do it with 30 of many different types and qualities. All my 3 kids are or were from CZ. Yes there were not-so-good teachers, but they never stopped trying to be better. Through a lot of guidance and training they became better. I wonder whether we parents can accept that we are not good parents and start going for some kind of training to be better... I just do not know.
Yes they are paid, we are assigned by God to be one!

Hi,can I check if anyone know how the primary 1 report result looks like?will there be class position or level position? Marks or just grades?


Thank you. And what is the average marks primary 1 needs to achieve in order to know they are on the right track? Necessary to score only 90 above consider safe?

My boy is in upper primary. Understand from him (dunno true or not), next year, the school revert to put all the best results in class c, follow by e and a....anyone got any inside news why is the change? :?
